I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
