The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
